Can I bring my dog?
Naturally, guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome as a matter of course.
In the Cottage, canines are absolutely welcome. We know they are a part of the family so we try to cater for their needs as much as possible.
They do not differentiate between home and holiday, so what they do at home they will naturally want to do here.
We have throws for the sofas if they like to lounge. We find their owners are considerate to the cottage and conscientious in cleaning up after them. We have a poo box and bags too, see below.
They have the run of the guests' lawn. All we ask is that they are kept on a lead if taken around the rest of the grounds, including over to the 'Glamping' side where our chickens are.
Dog poo
They have to go! Bag it and put it in the poo box outside, we will deal with it.

But what about dogs on the campsite and glamping fields?
For the consideration of other guests, including those in the Cottage who may have their own pets along, we do not allow dogs other than those owned by guests staying in the Cottage.

How far away from the coast are you?
We are relatively central to both the north and south Devon coasts.
For beaches, Saunton Sands (25 miles away) & Woolacombe (33 miles away) are great for surfing and safe for casual bathing too. They are between 50 minutes and an hour away respectively, depending on traffic.
Most of the coast to the west and north is between 45 minutes and an hour away, including Minehead and Watchet to the north, and Clovelly and Hartland to the west.
Bude is a little further, but you can get there in about an hour and twenty minutes on a good run.
On the south coast, Exmouth is 45 miles distant, a little over an hour's drive.

What's the parking for guests at Ducks Paddle?
It is free!
The Cottage has plenty of parking, both to the right hand side of the cottage, and opposite, by the workshops. We have had three long wheel-based transits parked comfortably.
Glamping is parking on site for one vehicle per unit.
Campsite parking is also on site, to the right of the gateway along the road hedge.
Motorcycle parking can be accommodated on the hard standing in front of the workshops, if you prefer not to park in the camping field.

And as mentioned in the Places to eat section Absolutely.

Nearly-wild camping - what's that?
Nearly-wild camping is basically camping with no frills. We have an outside WC and drinking water.
We wanted to make it fair for all campers, whether a single traveller, a couple, or a group. The cost is £6 per person, per night.
Campsite car parking is also on site to the right of the gateway along the road hedge, to keep cars away from the tented side of the leat.
Motorcycles can park by their tent if they like, but parking can be accommodated on the hard standing in front of the workshops, if you prefer not to park in the camping field.
